Bergwerksmuseum (Mining Museum)
Important information:
With a collection of original work tools, documents and photographs, former miners recall the pitch coal mining that ceased 50 years ago and to which the town of Penzberg owes its origins. The original miners' roadway equipment is the centrepiece of the exhibition. With the equipment and the lift from the winding tower, they convey a realistic picture of mining operations and show the stages of development of coal mining from manual labour to fully mechanised operations.
