Since 1 May, the Kaiserin Elisabeth Museum in Possenhofen has been offering a small special exhibition with a video presentation, including clips from the famous Marischka Sissi films, free of charge.
The Sissi films with Romy Schneider characterised the public image of the empress for decades. But to what extent does this romanticised image correspond to historical reality? The video presentation impressively shows the differences between the film character Sissi and the real Empress Elisabeth.
