In the shadow of the Free Imperial City of Augsburg, the Wittelsbach border town of Friedberg developed into a centre of watchmaking during the 17th and 18th centuries. This ‘Golden Age’, which is also brought to life during the ‘Friedberger Zeit’ town festival, brought wealth and prestige to the town and its craftsmen. On a tour of the exhibition, you will discover the masterpieces of Friedberg’s watchmaking tradition.
Afterwards, the museum café invites you to linger and enjoy fine coffee and cake specialities. In fine weather, the terrace in the romantic castle gardens is open.
