: "Night at the Museum" - Long Night of the Museums
Friday, 21 November 2025, 18:00 - 22:00
Rothenburg. Anno 1631 - When the museum becomes a stage
Location: Historiengewölbe mit Staatsverlies (History Vault with State Dungeon)
On 21 November 2025, you can experience three important exhibitions in Rothenburg from a very special side: from 6 pm, the Deutsches Weihnachtsmuseum (German Christmas Museum), the Historienverlies in the city hall (Museums in the city hall) and the RothenburgMuseum) invite you to the "Long Night of the Museums".
Until 10 pm, visitors can experience the museums from a slightly different angle when it is dark outside and no light penetrates through the windows. In Rothenburg, places such as the former Dominican convent (now the RothenburgMuseum) and the historic dungeon in the town hall radiate their very own fascination. The glittering lights in the Christmas Museum have a completely different effect when night falls outside.
On the "Long Night of Museums", three sights in Rothenburg open from 6 pm to 10 pm and bring the exhibitions to life in a very special way. Visitors can get into all three exhibitions with a collective ticket for €10 (available at the museums' box offices).
