Herb salt & herb butter
Location: Museum der Gartenkultur (Museum of garden culture)
Entry: free
At the Museum of Garden Culture, the garden becomes a space for experiences. Here, children learn how all life is interconnected: from earthworms in the soil to insects in the air and water to the community in the flowerbed. Once a month on a Sunday, the garden explorers invite visitors to an open event, which usually lasts two hours. Here, they discover, build, research and design – partly as a family activity, partly specifically for children. At the same time, adults have the opportunity to take part in open garden tours. On Sunday, 14 June 2026, young garden explorers will be learning about herb salt and herb butter. A hands-on activity for children aged 6 to 12. Together, they will explore garden and kitchen herbs, make herb butter with herbs they have harvested themselves and then eat it on fresh bread. And each child can make a small jar of herb salt to take home. This is how the garden goes straight to the heart through the stomach. Registration required.
