Event: Trialogue: Talking about Israel and Palestine

Friday, 12 June 2026, 18:00 - 20:00

Input and discussion with Jouanna Hassoun and Shai Hoffmann

Location: Erinnerungsort Badehaus (Place of remembrance bathhouse)

The Trialogue Project is a multi-perspective discussion format on the Middle East conflict, initiated by political educators and activists Jouanna Hassoun and Shai Hoffmann. Starting with the outbreak of war in Israel and Gaza on 7 October 2023, the project addresses the major challenge of dealing with the Middle East issue in schools using a new format.

The aim of the trialogues is to work with young people to create a space for mutual listening, understanding and tolerance of contradictions. At the same time, the project seeks to counteract ignorance about the historical and political background and the numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the Middle East conflict.

Jouanna Hassoun has Palestinian roots, Shai Hoffmann Israeli roots. Together, they will provide a multimedia insight into their award-winning work and hold a discussion with the BADEHAUS team. The evening will be complemented by a poetry slam by Luisa Höser, a secondary school student from Icking.

➜ Cost: €15, school pupils, trainees and students €5, donations for refreshments welcome.

➜ Registration required: +49 (0) 8171 25 7 25 02 or info@erinnerungsort-badehaus.de.
