Event: Porcelain Tour: Public guided tour of the porcelain-making process

Saturday, 04 July 2026, 10:30 - 12:00

Location: Porzellanikon Selb (Porzellanikon Selb)

How is ‘white gold’ made? Find out!

How are the unassuming raw materials transformed into the porcelain we use for eating and drinking? Experience the transformation first-hand! Real porcelain makers will demonstrate in live demonstrations how mugs are thrown on the potter’s wheel and sugar bowls are cast. The highlight: a historic steam engine comes to life! Afterwards, enjoy a bite to eat at the museum restaurant “Altes Brennhaus” before heading to the outlet centres for some retail therapy. Show your museum ticket and receive a discount!

Price: Museum admission

No booking required
