A highlight in the region is the potato harvest at the museum. Following the potato digging, this family festival centred around the spud invites visitors to take part in sorting and all sorts of competitions. As well as rare and heritage varieties, the programme includes music, activities for children and a wide range of potato specialities. The oil mill at the mill museum is also in operation.
