Event: Asterix Meets Alcmona: Celtic Festival at the Kelheim Archaeological Museum

At the Archaeological Museum’s traditional Celtic festival, visitors can immerse themselves in Celtic camp life with all their senses: touching, tasting and getting involved are very much encouraged! Fierce warriors, skilled craftsmen and noble ladies are happy to answer questions about their clothing and equipment and share entertaining insights into Celtic life.

Numerous traditional crafts will also be on display once again, such as ironworking in a smithy – a craft once so vital to Kelheim’s Celts. And you can even have a go yourself. There will be further demonstrations of weaving, salt boiling, glassmaking and much more.

There are games especially for children, such as ‘Wild Boar Hunt’ and ‘The Enemies of the Celts’.

Of course, there will once again be plenty of food and drink on offer, with Celtic delicacies in both liquid and solid form.
