: Long Night of Democracy
Friday, 02 October 2026, 17:00 - 22:00
A joint initiative by our three local museums
Location: Erinnerungsort BADEHAUS, Museum der Stadt Geretsried & Museum Wolfratshausen
Entry: free
On the eve of German Unity Day, we want to reflect on and discuss democracy in a variety of ways, and celebrate our free and democratic constitutional order together. At our museums in Geretsried, Waldram and Wolfratshausen, we bring democratic values to life and invite you to engage in conversation and exchange different perspectives.
Among other things, you can look forward to an interactive democracy trail that addresses key questions about our democracy in a playful yet informative way: What role does our history play in the present? How does political participation work? What does democracy mean in everyday life? At various stations, visitors can test their knowledge of politics and history – from a spontaneous drop-in to an in-depth exploration, anything is possible.
Building on the successful cooperation with a combined ticket, the three museums in Geretsried, Waldram and Wolfratshausen are taking part in the Long Night of Democracy for the first time as part of a joint initiative. All three venues are connected by a historic shuttle bus.
Detailed information will be available in advance on our website and in our newsletter.
In cooperation with the Bavarian Adult Education Association.
➜ Free admission!
