300 Jahre lang war die Saline in Traunstein in Betrieb. Das dafür benötigte Holz wurde von Holzknechten herbeigeschafft, eine gefährliche und mühsame Arbeit. Wie das Leben der Holzknechte aussah und welche Geräte und Maschinen in jüngerer Vergangenheit zum Einsatz kamen, zeigt das Holzknechtmuseum – nicht zuletzt mit originalen Holzknechtshütten, die den harten Alltag dieser Männer hautnah nachvollziehen lassen.
