Most people can still imagine a steam roller, but what do a compulsory mixer, road ripper, stone crusher or tar sprayer look like? You can find out all this and more at the Wegmachermuseum in Wasserburg. Numerous exhibits and documents illustrate the development of the road maintenance service, from road and bridge construction to signposting and winter road maintenance. In the meantime, the "Wegmacher" has become the "Straßenwärter", a recognised apprenticeship.
