Wallfahrtsmuseum Gößweinstein (Pilgrimage Museum Gößweinstein)
The Pilgrimage Museum is dedicated to three special features of Gößweinstein: the largest pilgrimage to the Holy Trinity in Germany, the most magnificent and important church in Franconian Switzerland (the basilica was built according to plans by the famous Baroque architect Balthasar Neumann) and the most extensive collection of life-size, clothed votive people made of wax (over 100 examples). Last but not least, its location in the former sacristan's house of the 18th century also preserves the central ensemble of the "Holy District" around the basilica, including church and pilgrimage treasures.
