Waldmuseum Watterbacher Haus (Forest Museum Watterbacher House)
One of the oldest preserved farmhouses in the Odenwald - its core dates back to 1474 - has been through a bit of an odyssey. It had to be moved twice before it found a new home in Preunschen. The forest museum in this stable house provides information on the development of the Odenwald in terms of forestry history and the use of the forest in earlier times. A separate area shows the cycle of timber harvesting, from seed collection to tree felling, and the special activity of the cone picker, which is still practised in the community of Kirchzell today.
