The ALCMONA adventure village is a station of the Altmühltal Archaeological Park (APA), which stretches from Kelheim to Dietfurt over a length of almost 40 km. Archaeological excavations have proven that the area around Dietfurt has been continuously inhabited since the Stone Age.
The Alcmona Association has so far reconstructed a Bronze Age longhouse according to local findings on a site next to the old Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal.
