The Stone Worlds bring regional geology and mineralogy as well as the long history of granite extraction and processing in the Bavarian Forest to life. After a film that sends visitors on a journey through time - from the formation of granite in the earth's interior to the Stone Age and modern industry - they take a "lift into the earth's interior", into the glittering and colourful world of minerals. This is followed by a walk through the history of granite extraction and processing. An open-air area with a show quarry rounds off the exhibition.
