Tin cars, trumpets and humming tops on one side, muskets, terrain models and armour on the other: the two thematic focuses of the museum are completely different. While the ground floor documents the history and development of the Zirndorf tin toy industry, the upper floor is dedicated to Zirndorf's role during the Thirty Years' War. Albrecht von Wallenstein had a huge encampment built here before his army and that of the Swedish King Gustav II Adolf clashed in the Battle of the Alte Veste in September 1632.
