"From the Roman tomb to the kidney table" - this is how the Städtisches Museum Rosenheim (Rosenheim Municipal Museum) describes its programme; to be precise, it even starts with the Stone Age. 23 realistically staged showrooms present topics such as stove-making, rural and middle-class living, shipping on the Inn, trade, popular piety and the history of the town. Militaria, world wars and the post-war period finally lead to the kidney tables of the economic miracle. And this with "only" 4000 objects ... the remaining 16000 objects in the collection are presented in changing exhibitions.
