Städtische Kunstgalerie im Deutschordenshaus (Municipal Art Gallery in the Deutschordenshaus)
In five rooms of the Deutschordenshaus, built in 1774-1778, the Municipal Art Gallery shows works of art with a direct connection to Donauwörth - whether they were created in Donauwörth or by artists born here, or have the town as their motif. Thematically, they are divided into: religious motifs, portraits of people with a connection to the town's history and views of Donauwörth before the destruction of the war in April 1945.
In the banqueting hall with its classicist stucco decoration, the ceiling painting by Johann Baptist Enderle depicting the wedding of the sea nymph Thetis with Peleus (1780) deserves special interest.
