Stadtmuseum Waldkraiburg (City Museum Waldkraiburg)
From the displaced persons' settlement on the site of a former munitions factory to the most populous town in the district: the history of the young town of Waldkraiburg is told in walk-through displays and using photographs, artefacts and documents in the town museum. The story spans from the 19th century to National Socialism, from the end of the Second World War with flight and expulsion to the time of the economic miracle and beyond. A museum cinema in the style of the 1950s offers additional film material and interviews with contemporary witnesses. Other topics include club life, housing and industrial history as well as Peter Maffay, probably the town's most famous son.
