The Stadtmuseum Schlüsselfeld (Schlüsselfeld City Museum) sees itself as a literal "hands-on museum". In the former town hall dating back to 1723, it displays interesting facts about the town's history and topics relating to the geology, ecology and folklore of the Steigerwald in four rooms under the motto "Touching expressly encouraged!" However, extreme caution is advised in the section on porcelain history, especially that of the manufactory in Reichmannsdorf from the end of the 18th century. A special feature is the large collection of porcelain salt and pepper shakers.
