Stadtmuseum Neuötting (Neuötting City Museum)
Important information:
The Renaissance roof truss is the crowning glory of the museum in the truest sense of the word. But there are also many interesting things to discover on the way there, as it leads through Neuötting's history from the Middle Ages to modern times. The diversity of town life is also reflected in the thematic areas: there is administration, architecture, the Landwehr and the Bürgerwehr, or trade, including Inn navigation and the local railway. The town fire of 1797 was a dramatic turning point for Neuötting, and an original fire engine from the 18th century gives an idea of the hopeless battle the citizens fought against the flames at that time.
