Stadtmuseum Neumarkt (Neumarkt City Museum)
The most important stages of Neumarkt's 850-year history can be discovered in the Stadtmuseum (Neumarkt City Museum): the heyday as a residence town of the Palatine Wittelsbach dynasty in the 15th and 16th centuries, as a garrison town of the Bavarian Chevaulegers in the 19th century, the time as a spa town up to the destruction of the Second World War. A town is nothing without its inhabitants, and so biographies and crafts are also presented. The industrialization section has a special treat in store: a documentary about the Neumarkt Expresswerke with penny-farthing rarities from the 19th century as well as mopeds and motorbikes from the 1950s.
