Spessartmuseum (Spessart Museum)
High lords and have-nots - electors, foresters, factory owners, craftsmen, forest workers and robbers - they all lived in and from the Spessart. The Spessartmuseum (Spessart Museum) in the medieval Lohr Castle tells how. Local crafts show the forest as a supplier of raw materials and energy, and their products show the lives of their customers. A special feature is Lohr's glass and mirror production, which is presented with masterpieces from over six centuries. Room settings make it possible to relive the everyday life of the little people and the great lords - and also the milieu of the legendary "Spessart robbers", which is far less romantic here than in the well-known cliché of the "inn in Spessart".
