Schwäbisches Turmuhrenmuseum (Swabian Tower Clock Museum)
In the former Silvester Church and its 48-metre-high tower, it ticks, rattles, rings and whistles merrily away. For it is here that the Swabian Tower Clock Museum displays its impressive collection of around 50 tower clocks dating from 1562 to 1978, as well as numerous other works of clockmaking art, such as pocket watches, pendulums or sundials. And anyone who thinks that tower clocks are merely unattractive utilitarian devices will quickly be proven wrong here in view of their artistic design, technical finesse and master craftsmanship.
