A historic Dorfschule (Village school) can be visited in Fronau: The Waldlerhaus, built in the 18th century, actually served as a schoolhouse until 1851. In addition to a classroom from around 1900, the parlour and chamber show the school hall and teacher's flat under one roof, which was common until the 20th century. A shoemaker's workshop bears witness to the teacher's family's sideline.
