Schmiedstor (Forge Gate)
The Schmiedstor (Forge Gate) in Großeibstadt is a reminder of the former village fortifications. Built in 1631, it served as the home and workplace of the village blacksmith. The preserved original workshop with historical equipment provides an insight into the blacksmith's way of working and living.
In addition, archaeological finds from the burial grounds near Großeibstadt, explanations on the history of the village and the deed of gift from a bishop of Eichstadt to the Fulda monastery are on display.
