The Amerang Castle Museum offers a tour through almost 1000 years of Bavarian noble history. The medieval round castle on the hill, already mentioned in a document as a noble seat in 1072, was continuously expanded and vividly documents the various historical epochs: From the Romanesque-Gothic castle chapel to the inner courtyard with its pure Renaissance arcades, the Knights' Hall with frescoes from the 16th century and the noble chambers in Baroque, Rococo and Wilhelminian style, to the study of the senior castle lord from the 1950s and the castle dungeon, which was used until the middle of the 19th century.
