Important information:
The Sammlung steinAlt (steinAlt Collection) displays archaeological finds from Hellmitzheimer Bay and the immediate vicinity of Dornheim. The farmer Karl Alt (d. 2010) spent decades collecting artefacts from a wide range of periods, which were taken over by the town of Iphofen after his death and are now on display in the former Protestant school. The exhibition provides a broad overview spanning from the Palaeolithic Age through Celtic sites near the Fischhof to the Merovingian period.
