Reichsstadtmuseum im Ochsenhof (Imperial City Museum in the Ochsenhof)
Bad Windsheim looks back on a history of over 1250 years. The Imperial City Museum in the Ochsenhof (Reichsstadtmuseum im Ochsenhof) houses a comprehensive overview in its museum building, a half-timbered building from 1537. A wealth of exhibits on four floors documents the history and way of life of the former "Free Imperial City". The permanent exhibition of the Imperial Town Museum shows furniture, paintings, guilds, folk art, textiles, weapons and militaria, glass, porcelain, pewter and other materials as well as regional art up to the 1960s. Noteworthy are the collection of 16th-19th century stoves and a staging of 10th century burials.
