Niederbayerisches Landwirtschaftsmuseum (Lower Bavarian Agricultural Museum)
How did farmers live around 1800? What has changed since then? And what does the 19th century have to do with the problems of today's agriculture? As the only agricultural history museum in Bavaria, the Niederbayerisches Agricultural Museum (Lower Bavarian Agricultural Museum) is dedicated to precisely these questions.2,000 m² of exhibition space illustrates the enormous changes in Lower Bavarian agricultural and social history and shows them as part of a supra-regional, overall process of change in society. The development from wooden implements to threshing and steam engines and tractors documents the important changes and their effects on rural society. That a walk through agricultural history becomes an exciting event is ensured here not only by running engines, acoustic effects and stage-setting elements, but also by films, models and machines that visitors can put into operation themselves.
