The Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus is located directly next to the Schaezlerpalais, in a historic building on Maximilianstraße. Together with the H2 - Centre for Contemporary Art and Halle 1 - Raum für Kunst im Glaspalast, it forms the international forum for contemporary art in Augsburg. Since its opening in 1996, the gallery has offered artists an experimental platform for current, time- or situation-related projects and work complexes. In addition to internationally renowned artists, projects by local artists take centre stage. These presentations not only provide insights into the individual development of the exhibitors, but also show the current state of the Augsburg art scene.
