You can get a whole lot closer to the Holy Grail in Wolframs-Eschenbach: the small medieval town has dedicated a museum to its most famous son, Wolfram von Eschenbach (before 1200-after 1217), the creator of the epic poem "Parzival". Wolfram is considered one of the greatest German-language poets of the Middle Ages, and the museum in a 17th century half-timbered building brings his epic works and songs, his biography and the courtly world around 1200 back to life. The diverse reception of his life and work, which continues to this day, is also presented.
