Archaeology and history. The unbroken settlement history of Kösching since the Stone Age is the focus of the local museum. Beginning with prehistoric and early historic graves and settlement finds (such as a Hallstatt temple district), the journey through time continues via the important fort Germanicum from the Roman period to finds from Merovingian row graves.The folkloristic part of the museum deals with the history of today's town from the earliest settlement to the present day, with contributions and exhibits on market history, agriculture, crafts and folk piety.
