Museum im Malhaus (Museum in the painting house)
Male witches, Martin Walser and dear Augustin - you can find it all at Wasserburg's Museum im Malhaus (Museum the painting house)! The historic building from 1597, in which justice was dispensed under the Fuggers, houses original prison cells and tells the story of the "Wasserburg witch trials", in which 26 people fell victim in the mid-17th century. There are also archaeological finds and exhibits on traditional Lake Constance fishing. Separate sections are dedicated to two honorary citizens of the town: the writer Martin Walser, who was born here, and the storyteller Horst Wolfram Geißler, creator of "Dear Augustin".
