Located directly on the old Würzburg winter harbour, the 3,500 m² historic granary with its modern architectural elements offers an exciting ambience for the art of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries on display here. Top-class works of art from the Romantic, Biedermeier, Impressionist and Expressionist periods are complemented by exhibits of contemporary art from 23 European countries. The collection "Peter C. Ruppert. Concrete Art in Europe after 1945" includes works by artists such as Max Bill, Günter Fruhtrunk and Victor Vasarely as well as fascinating installations and digital art.
