Museum im Hollerhaus (Museum in the Hollerhaus)
The charming landscape of the Altmühl Valley has always been shaped by man. The exhibition in the Museum im Hollerhaus (Museum in the Hollerhaus) impressively shows how a natural landscape has developed into a cultural landscape over the last 4000 years. It is complemented by a comprehensive collection of rocks, minerals and fossils on the development of the earth's history and a picture documentation on the waterway connection between the Main and Danube rivers and the construction of the Main-Danube Canal. A video film shows the archaeological excavations in the lower Altmühl valley, which were the basis for the exhibition. A detailed 1:50 scale model of Dietfurt's town centre around 1900 takes visitors into the recent past. QR codes can be used to call up further information on the use of the houses at that time and thus also on the professions once practised in Dietfurt.
