Museum im Fressenden Haus - Burgkasten Weißenstein (Museum in the eating house - castle box Weissenstein)
Anyone expecting an exciting horror story may be disappointed: The "Devouring House" was given this name because its upkeep consumed vast sums of money. The sufferer and eponym was the Baltic poet Siegfried v. Vegesack (1888-1974), who lived here for many years in the granary of the neighbouring Weißenstein castle ruins. A poet's room in the four-storey museum commemorates him. There are also 1200 colourful snuff boxes and archaeological finds from the 14th to the 17th century to marvel at. Finally, the folklore section shows "The beautiful sides of a hard life".
