Museum Fürstenfeldbruck (Museum Fürstenfeldbruck)
Where monks once brewed beer, there is now a museum. In three large departments, it conveys important areas of regional culture and history.Fürstenfeld Monastery with its over 750-year history is one of these focal points. Numerous exhibits bear witness to the importance of the Cistercian monastery, once famous far beyond Bavaria, and convey an impression of life in the monastery as well as the spirituality and business acumen of the order. Highlights are the figures from the former founder's tomb of the Wittelsbach dynasty and sculptures and panel paintings from the late Gothic high altar of the monastery church. The archaeological exhibition presents regional finds from the Stone Age to the foundation of the monastery and provides insights into archaeological research methods in a variety of ways. The section "Life in Bruck around 1900" shows everyday life and leisure in a society shaped by the artisan bourgeoisie from the turn of the century to the drastic changes brought about by the outbreak of the First World War.
