4000 years ago, the Garching region experienced a period of prosperity that lasted, with interruptions, for around 1000 years. The Museum of Prehistory and Early History reminds us of this. The collection focuses on Bronze Age finds from the Margarethenberg, the chariot grave from Hart a. d. Alz, the Roman villas of Höresham and Tacherting and the Bavarian burial ground in Garching a. d. Alz.
