Even the sign with the double M above the entrance makes many a heart beat faster, and the automobile connoisseur has long suspected it: a treasure trove awaits the visitor here. In the 1920s and 1930s, Karl and Wilhelm Maybach's cars were considered the most beautiful, largest and most expensive luxury cars, and they were also technically unsurpassed. Today, only about 160 examples of these cars, which were produced until 1941, still exist worldwide. A total of 20 of them - in various states of preservation - are reviving the Maybach legend in a former vehicle factory in the Upper Palatinate. And on top of that, in addition to technical background information, there is plenty of history and stories about the prominent first owners.
