The Museum Erding (Museum Erding) itself is as remarkable as its golden-scaled shell. With over 160 years of collection history, it is one of the oldest municipal museums in Bavaria and takes visitors on an exciting journey of discovery through the history of the city and region of Erding. The collection now comprises over 50,000 objects, not counting the extensive archaeological collection. In the old building of the Museum Erding (Museum Erding), a house from the late 17th century, visitors learn interesting facts about prehistory and early history as well as the development of the town since its beginnings and get to know Erding's artists and everyday stories. The new building is dedicated to two important trades in Erding: the bell-founders and the loderers.
