Important information:
The Museum of the city of Grafing (Museum der Stadt Grafing) has dedicated a separate section to probably Grafing's most famous son, the landscape and animal painter Max Josef Wagenbauer (1775-1829): over 50 works by the painter of the Munich School can be seen here. But the 20th century is also represented here, for example with artists from the Lorenzberg circle of artists. Other thematic areas of the museum, which is housed in two buildings of an estate from 1870/71, are the history of Grafing, rural and middle-class life and work, and crafts.
