Bürgstadt winegrowing and sandstone quarrying and processing are two focal points of the museum, as are tobacco cultivation, local history and the life of the composer Johann Michael Breunig (1699-1755), who was born here. A Roman section shows the early local history, and a separate room is dedicated to the displaced persons in Bürgstadt.
