"Muna" stands for munitions factory, and that is exactly what the museum of the same name is about: in the midst of the former "Lufthauptmunitionsanstalt Oberdachstetten", it documents the history of what was once the largest air force munitions factory in southern Germany as well as the Illesheim airfield, but also the fates of the forced labourers and civilians who worked here. The regional World War II events are just as much a topic as the presence of the US forces (from 1945 to the present) and the German armed forces. Tanks and cannons are also on display outside the museum.
