"Extinguish, save, help - and not just since yesterday" is the motto of the Munich Fire Brigade Museum, because Munich's fire brigade had its first mission as early as 1879. How that happened back then and how the work and equipment of the fire brigade have changed since then is shown by the more than 6,000 exhibits in the main fire station from 1904, which is itself a special piece of history.
