Mithraeum und Römerbad Königsbrunn (Mithraeum and Roman Bath Königsbrunn)
The Roman sanctuary of the oriental saviour deity Mithras from the 2nd/3rd century AD is the only preserved cult site of this kind in Bavaria. Its tuff foundations are accessible under a protective structure. Guided tours explain the discovery, excavation and secret cult. The Roman bath is a visualisation of the foundations of a Roman public bath of the settlement "ad nonas", which was excavated on the grounds of the Königsbrunn cemetery. The Roman bath is freely accessible during the opening hours of the cemetery.
