Even if the combination seems strange at first glance, the Lebzelterei and the Wachszieherei have one thing in common: both process the products of the bee - one the honey, the other the wax. The Hipp family of confectioners has been cultivating this tradition for over 400 years and provides an insight into the production of drawn candles, the customs of the wax stick and the Lebzelten, as well as the significance of wax votive offerings in a historic workshop.
