His work is fascinating, his ideas visionary: artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928–2000) has a magical appeal. In spring 2025, the first Hundertwasser Forum opened in Lindau, in the Kunstmuseum am Inselbahnhof. The institution is unique in Germany, was created in close cooperation with the Hundertwasser Gemeinnützige Privatstiftung Wien (Hundertwasser Charitable Private Foundation Vienna) and will present the artist's life and work in an exclusive series over the coming years. ‘The Right to Dreams’ is the title of the opening exhibition, which will be on display until 11 January 2026. From early watercolours and paintings to original Japanese woodblock prints and screen prints, the exhibition presents Hundertwasser's distinctive colours and dreamlike imagery.
