Kunstmuseum Lindau (Lindau Art Museum)
The special exhibitions at the Museum Lindau have become an indispensable part of cultural life on Lake Constance and are also reaching an ever wider public beyond the region. Since 2011, the Museum Lindau has been showing classical modern art in the large special exhibitions in summer. As the Stadtmuseum Lindau (Lindau City Museum) in the Cavazzen has been closed since autumn 2018 as part of a general renovation and redesign of the permanent exhibition, the city of Lindau is continuing the series in the exhibition space on the ground floor of the former main post office - a representative historical building in a central location near the Lindau island railway station. As before, the comparably large exhibition space offers an ideal setting for very personal, focussed presentations that allow the viewer an intimate encounter with the art on display. This year, the museum is showing the solo exhibition "Christo and Jeanne-Claude - A Life for Art"
