Kunsthalle Jesuitenkirche (Jesuit Church Art Gallery)
The Jesuit Church Art Gallery in Aschaffenburg presents classical modernism and contemporary works in the impressive ambience of a secularised baroque church. The church was built between 1619 and 1621 for the Jesuits as a place of worship and study. After being severely damaged by bombing in November 1944, it was acquired by the city of Aschaffenburg in 1976 and converted into an art space. Today, the elaborate stucco elements and high walls of the former church create a unique art experience.
